British health care group Bupa will acquire Polish health care operator
Lux-Med from private equity group Mid Europa partners for EUR 400
million, Bupa said in a press statement.
The acquisition is expected to take between two and three months to
complete and is subject to the approval of the Office of Competition and
Consumer Protection in Poland and Sweden’s Financial Supervisory
Authority, the firm said.
Lux Med is a leader in the fastest growing element of private health
care in Poland - subscription based outpatient services, largely for
corporate clients.
Lux-Med has a national network of outpatient clinics and diagnostic
centers, as well as a day hospital and a large nursing and residential
care home in Warsaw.
